About Us

For over forty years, the San Gabriel Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America has been treating new Eagle Scouts to a banquet to celebrate their achievement each year. In 2003, long time Scout Executive, Bob Booker, came up with the idea of organizing Eagle Scouts into a group where older Eagle Scouts could give back to the council and the Scouting movement by keeping Scouting in their lives. The San Gabriel Valley Council Eagle Scout Association was then formed.

SGVC Eagle Association’s first task was to take over the responsibility and continue the tradition of the Annual Eagle Scout Banquet. It is our task, as older Eagles Scouts, to organize this fantastic event for the young men who have earned their rank of Eagle the previous year. Funds are raised for the banquet through contributions from individuals and businesses. These contributions have supported as many as 300 participants. Outstanding speakers are chosen and awards are presented to make the evening a great success.

In addition to the banquet, SGVC Eagle Association holds a members only networking reception each year. The networking reception is a great place for Eagle Scouts in business to meet other Eagle Scouts in business. The advantage of having the common ground of scouting is an excellent foundation for fostering new business relationships and proves to be quite beneficial. This is just a small reminder that the Scouting philosophy is a way of life as well as a way of doing business. As Scouts we are members of a great family.

Our Goals…

• To support the Council’s Annual Eagle Scout Recognition Banquet.
• To identify and recognize outstanding Eagle Scouts for their service to others.
• To serve Eagle Scouts and, through them, the entire movement of Scouting.
• To identify and involve in our association as many Eagle Scouts as possible to further the aims of Scouting in the San Gabriel Valley.
• To provide recurrent opportunities for fellowship and networking of Eagle Scouts of all ages.
